ASUS has removed this firmware from their website.

The release notes are back on the United States / English site, with the proper file size indication in text 28.23 MBytes.
Only the download file is still 256 bytes.
Asus is getting there

I downloaded it again and it was correct size. You might try clearing your browser cache...

It must be the Asus mirror sites playing up.
Still 256 bytes in the files, no matter which approach or which of the above links, and no matter which computer or browser.

It seems some cache problem.
Yesterday I used a 4G connection instead of my ISP, same computer, same link and I got the correct file.
Today through my ISP it still offers the 256 bytes file.
Probably my ISP uses some proxy with very long refresh intervals.
Anyway: Asus better do it right the first time
