So i've been using this firmware fine for the past week or so (without hard resetting it).
Went to the management page today and way and behold its back to square one (just get a blank page) without any resets or anything.

Come on Asus - hurry up and fix it will ya!!

It's a bug in networkmap, where device names end up with too long names. When the httpd server tries to build the client list to show you the first page, it crashes on that long name which does not fit in the 16 characters buffer it's trying to use for it.

Thanks merlin, appreciate the explanation. As long as its identifiable (and not just me!) i'll just have to wait for the next release.

Will have to revert back to older firmware for now.

Adding my comments about this router, new for me. I replaced an ASUS RT-N66 with this router last week. First step was to upgrade firmware before placing in service with ver. 3.0.0.4.378_9135 (normal download process from ASUS). All is good. Configured router EXACTLY as old router (net space, SSID names). Everything else default. Pysically added router into my network (same LAN/WAN cables, cable modem). All is working well -- so I think. Started to notice very slow download speeds "after awhile", where slow = < 1 Mb generally. fyi, 1) upload speeds seem to be fine. 2) my "normal" service speed levels = ~100 Mb down, ~12 Mb up (COX Cable, Las Vegas NV area). Watching this behavior, I zero in a bit more and basically see all works as expected (speeds) for about 2+ hours, then it slows down. Rebooting router also requires me to reboot modem (ARRIS SB 6183) as if I only reboot router, router shows it is disconnected to Internet. This feels like a firmware/software bug to me. After reading all the issues with firmware updates, any comments from anyone on my idea of downgrading firmware to last release on this router. I have never downgraded an ASUS router -- never felt the need to. I have been very pleased with the last one I had -- recommended and installed for family/friends (other models) without any issues at all. Just this one now. Thoughts anyone? -thanks in advance.

Okay, after homework, downloaded one version back (version 3.0.0.4.378_7838), went through upgrade process with this version, and manually rebooted when GUI told me to. Confirmed network was up, router showed new version. Then ssh into router and cleared config/memory with command mtd-erase2 nvram, and rebooted router. Got back in to default settings and reset bare bone minimum stuff -- turned off all the AI security stuff, changed SSIDs to mine for all 3 radios (different SSIDs, not using smart connect -- never was yet), changed IP addresses, admin password, and access with ssh/https. Very basic stuff. All is good right now. If problem exists, it manifested itself in about ~4 hours. We will wait and see.....

I also get a blank login page using firmware 3.0.0.4.378_9313-g53ab20f and the firmware prior to this. I also have a Hikvision IP CCTV camera which as default comes with some crazy long name. The router still functions but am greeted with either a partial login screen or a completely blank screen so it seems there is definitely still an issue somewhere in the firmware which has'nt been fixed. Another thing is when this issue happens and I pull the power out the back, it will let me login once when power is restored but then get the same issue after that. It's getting a little frustrating now.
