Run a chkdsk on it, Safely Remove it from Windows then plug it back.

chkdsk ran, nothing found... all good, plugged it back into router went to top of screen shows as mounted, went to tools/other settings chose custom location it showed the drive, i went down the tree to BW logs folder and hit ok... Will watch it next few days to make sure she doesnt disappear.

on a side note.. are you aware firefox doesn't seem to like the custom table boxes.

This is a Lastpass issue. Configure Lastpass to not insert icons into Input fields, it messes up the CSS.

kk, ty will look into that.

i suppose being the log only shows 1/31
My bandwitdh monitoring will be off for this month?
notice below daily traffic log per device shows no data... possibly due to losing flash?

Try checking system log --> General log
Are you seeing an error like Problem loading tomato_cstats_???????.gz?

uptime 6 hours, 3 minutes

That means a problem with your USB disk, the router is unable to access it, the disk isn't responding to read requests.

thats 2 flash drives in the last week, but they both work with in pc's, possible bad format?

using win 7, right click/format/ chose quick format.

Make sure you are using FAT32 or NTFS when formatting.

Also check the router's System Log, you will get more info as to what happens during the mount process.

formatted to ntfs.. been in router for over hour, when i put mouse over usb icon it states pny usb 2.0 FD Storage unmounted.
when i goto tools, other settings, then search for location it shows the pny drive, but does not allow me to create a new folder (bwlogs i'd like to create)

well after letting it sit all night nothing seems to have changed
here is daily by device

and here is daily global ( i only have 40mb line. are these numbers even possible? and being my cap is 250GB amonth i think they would have disconnected me by now.)

usb drive still does not allow for making a new folder, and still states unmounted but yet shows flashes name (PNY)

ok.. i reformatted to fat 32 instead of ntfs.. and the usb has shown as storage for the last day! (Great news)

data table is still empty for global and per device... any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance

Howdy,
I would suggest you go back under TOOLS (other settings) make sure the Traffic Monitoring is the way you want... Then, as maybe another chance, power down router, wait... minute, power back up... wait, then log in and see what's going on.

no go daybreak.. thanks though for trying to help

1 photo showing per device, 1 photo showing global, and 1 photo showing settings

Even if you get it to work, the data in the traffic monitor is ALL wrong. I have a data plan of 25 GB (pathetic i know), and the graph shows me that i am downloading 63 Gb per day (which is impossible since my internet will be cut off). I double checked with the usage statistics from my ISP page and the numbers reported by the router are all wrong by a huge margin (1 Gb vs 63 Gb!)
We will have to wait for Asus to fix the traffic monitor part!

ok, so it's not me then... notice my photo prior with 4days into the month (16 devices) and i had downloaded 5 THOUSAND GB. lol
Google speeds couldn't even accomplish that (if one wanted to download the whole net) could they?

5TB's? No, that's not that much. The internet is much larger.

If Google speeds were theoretically perfect and the websites they were connecting to were also, that amount could be downloaded in ~11 minutes. :)

Notes: 125 MB/s download speeds, no hiccups. :)
