Hello all I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I recently got a AC66U and installed Merlin 376.48_3 on it.

I setup my VPN information using this guide here and I am using Private Internet Access as a VPN provider.

My issue is that the "Service State" of my Client instance keeps turning off every 24 hours or so. I'm not positive when but I'll check in the evening and suddenly it's running with my real IP address.

I'd like OpenVPN to PIA running all the time if possible. Is there a script or something I can do to keep it from shutting down on me?

Thanks
Steve

Whether you get a script to keep it enabled or not; upgrade to the latest RMerlin firmware first and do a complete reset to factory defaults and enter all your settings manually before you check to see if the issue is fixed for you.

maybe every 24 hours your ISP resets your connection? I know mine does.

Thanks I'll try that first.

Perhaps I'm not too sure. I'm coming from a pfSense box for my VPN but I screwed something up with the firewall rules and need time to figure it out. I'm one of those cases where I know a little about something but not alot!!
