Hi!
Im having trouble using the built in openvpn server of my RT-N66U. Im runing the latest Merlin firmware.
Im unable to connect to router. I have several times tried to save a new .ovpn file and connect again but without succeses. I just says "connection timeout, retry". I read somewhere that it can be the router server program that is to old. Is the server updated on firmware updates?
Tanks for helping out!

The ovpn server is already the most updated version.

The ovpn file is just a sample. You would still need to edit it. You may need to input the cert key and the server address in the ovpn file.

Also maybe you like to show the debug log to see what went wrong.

Ok. Before i have just saved the .opvn file and added it to my client and everthing was working. Just leaved all setting at default, For a month or two i have not been able to connect to the server thus generating a new .opvn file. My .opvn file contains full config of certfication and key?

You should check the contents of the exported .ovpn config installed on your client:
e.g.
Code:
remote xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1194

You will need to edit the IP address with the name of your DDNS hostname if it no longer matches your current WAN IP address.

Suddely it is working again! Dont know what i did but it is up and running. Maybe the router reset helped out?
