New Around Here
I have an Asus RT-AC87U flashed with the latest version of Asuswrt-Merlin, and I've configured OpenVPN Server #1 with a username and password.
I can connect to this VPN from an external location, and at first, everything looks like it's working. I can ping the router and other machines on my LAN at home. This generally lasts for about 30 seconds, but I've had periods of good connectivity lasting over an hour before issues started to appear.
So, at some point, the router appears to simply stop routing traffic between machines on the VPN subnet and machines on the LAN subnet. Suddenly I can't even ping machines on my LAN (or the router itself). Reconnecting will bring back the connection for another 30 seconds or so, then die again.
Same thing happens with a PPTP VPN, though not as severe. Hour+ sessions are common before the router glitches-out on me.
Any ideas?
