As a side note - interesting, but perhaps a folly trying to run a complicated package like asterix on such a limited platform (RAM/Storage wise) running what is essentially an embedded linux - have you considered something a bit more recent with more memory and storage available?
Finally after installing asterisk and running for a while I can state that resource consumption is quite moderate and acceptable, I'd rather say: invisible. I just have 20-30% CPU load, and 29% of RAM load afterwards. Just like before, I didn't noticed any complications after asterisk.
