Hi, anyone have an articles on tools / software to help test NAS speed on OSX ?

Examples I have found by searching are windows based such as http://www.intel.com/products/server/storage/NAS_Perf_Toolkit.htm via the How To on this site.

Thanks

I take it you are looking for something other than "Copy a large bunch of files and use a timer", but have you thought about using AppleScript/Automator to set up the various types of runs done and also making it function as the timer? I suspect that's pretty much all most of the testing tools are doing essentially.

FYI, regarding this bit - "You'll need to go into prefs and "enable network volumes" - at least on my machine I have to do it every time i launch the app. But I still prefer it to the other one though.

Thanks for the suggestions. I couldn't get the AJA System Test to work (OSX 10.7.4) but I got the Helios LANtest to work, which I thought was a simple and great program. It's free to boot. Thanks.
