Howdy. This looks quite interesting and may allow me to accomplish the following:
I have a spare Asus RT-N56U and would like to have it support several computers (without wifi) in a workshop I'm configuring. My home has an Asus RT-AC3200 wifi router that is beaming wifi throughout the home provided by Cox cable. However, it is not possible to run a ethernet cable from the AC3200 to the workshop. So, I'd like to have the N56U function as a wireless bridge to extend my LAN into the workshop via a wireless connection. I'd then plug an 8 port switch into the N56U to support the various devices in the workshop that have only hardwire network connections.
Is this possible with the Padavan firmware? If so, which particular file do I use? BASE, ARIA, TRMD, DLNA (what do these designations signify--I'm guessing DLNA allows streaming?). Since my N56U doesn't have the "B1" desigation I'm assuming I stay away from firmware that has the B1 in the title?
Any further advice on configuration once I have the proper firmware loaded?
Thanks in advance!
