Parental Controls - can't save settings

Hi,

Currently am running 380.57, however, as of a version or two back, I've been having some issues with saving/changing settings within Parental Controls.

It appears to be the only section within GUI that causes issues:
1) slower than usual to load full page
2) when making changes or clicking apply, instead of "applying changes" it straight away goes back to the login page to enter username/password without saving any settings

I've tried using multiple browsers (chrome, IE, firefox) from multiple PCs, including tablet/mobile phone, with same results.

Any reason why this would be happening? I believe the last time I resolved it by factory resetting the router, but that means re-entering all of my settings and custom configurations etc.

I have this exact same problem with 380.57 on my AC88U, doing a reboot does not fix it.

Will try restoring to factory settings today - had already done this on the Merlin test builds of 380.57 so I'm only expecting this to be a temporary fix until it re-occurs but I will report back.

Not sure if it makes any difference in regards to triggering the issue but I do make manual changes to this page usually at least once every couple of days.

I opened a thread in this forum similar to yours, but more generic in terms of features and functionalities hit by this issue. Thanks to joegreat I got an insight into the cause of this issue and I hope this helps you as well...

I was using the IP address to login into the web UI, so I do not think that's the issue.

I ended up factory resetting the router and re-uploading a saved configuration and jffs partition file (made backups as of last time), so being up and running again wasn't too painful. It's been working fine since then.

I *think* this only happens after a firmware update, but will keep an eye on it, as I only make changes within the parental controls maybe once a month.

Thanks Debil041 - I also use the IP to access, did a factory reset and manually put the settings back in - will update here if I hit this again.
