I am using a RT-AC68U router and have a PC connected to it via cable. On the PC, I run iperf server.
On another PC, I have the PCE-AC68 adapter with recently updated driver. I get ~ 150Mbits/sec running the iperf client, using UDP protocol.
I then setup the RT-AC1200G+ as media server and connect it to the same PC using cable. To my surprised, I can get >900Mbits/sec.
Between the PCE-AC68 and RT-AC1200G+ as an adapter, I do not understand why the RT-AC1200G+ can out perform the PCE-AC68 by so much. Yes, RT-AC1200G+ may have 4 antennas but the main router RT-AC68U has only three antennas. Am I missing something? Are there settings PCE-AC68 on that I should check?
