PIA OpenVPN setup RT-AC68U

I know this has been asked a lot (I have read atleast 2 dozen threads myself) but I'm wondering if something has changed recently that might alter this setup because they're all old threads and none of the settings in them work for me. I had it go green twice but my actual IP didn't change, I seen a friends N66U work perfectly and able to swtich betweeen vpn profiles but the AC68U settings are much different and I cannot get it to work.

I want to use the London server, I am uploading the .ovpn file and then putting my user/password in and then finally I'm pasting the .crt into the authority box.. it wont connect though just says attempting for ages and never does anything past this..

Really stumped here, do I need to alter DNS or anything else? Also would using L2TP/PPTP be detrimental (only using for gaming - interested in low ping high speeds).

Thanks!

Dave

Right didn't take much testing to notice something in these settings isn't optimal.

I have ran my friends N66U on vpn here as a base and his gets a rock steady +3ms and 0ms jitter while mine is getting +10-20ms and +- 15ms jitter..

The GUI setup for the N66U just taken the .opvn file and the .crt file and didnt take any further advanced settings so I am guessing it is one of these advanced settings that is better on whatever the N66U used as default, can anyone point me towards which it may be as I got the router for gaming and would have gotten the N66U but thought this was simply an upgrade..

Thanks

Dave

Note those are both from my connection and to the same server on OpenVPN
