Hi,
since a few days i have a problem:
My clients disconnect from the router, there is no Wifi Signal and no internet connection via LAN.
after 3 minutes or so it is working again. I did not see the router restart.
I don't know if it is software or hardware issue, first i thought it is the newest MERLIN firmware, but i had the same problem after downgrading to 380.58. Now i am on .59 again.
My Asus is dhcp server and is connected to a ISP Router in bridge mode, and i have a Time capsule in bridge mode connected to the Asus.
If anybody could help, please?
Attached is the log as txt.

Thanks
Pommes

Can you please share more details, what kind of connection? What ISP router model? Pure bridge? Or double NAT/Firewall/DHCP Server?

Disconnecting on both bands?

Have you RESET your router after flashing it and made a manual configuration from scratch without any configuration file import?

WAN MAC clone is a requirement?

i have a cable router evw3226 in pure bridge mode, the time capsule is pure bridge mode , too. only asus does dhcp and nat...
both 2,4 and 5 ghz have the same ssid, when i get the issues, the wifi ssid disappears on all clients
i reset the router after flashing, then imported the saved file. i didn't configure from scratch, because the router worked well, and there are vpn servers, clients, nas users and many things configured, which took me a whole day. but if you think it will help the router, maybe i have to start all over again:-( i do not know what wan mac clone is...
thanks

You should never use the same SSID on both networks, try with 2 different and test again.

Importing old config files are the reason for issues most of the times, it will put again old nvram entries on it, if you really want to trace it you need to follow the procedures first or it will be a waste of time figuring out the problem.

You have MAC clone being used on your WAN tab, probably with your ISP cable router MAC Address.

I had a similar situation on an AC68P over various versions of stock firmware. I tried changing one setting at a time to see what, if anything, mattered. The only thing that made a difference (for me) for connection-dropping issues (with Samsung and iPad devices), was to disable Beam Forming on both bands.

Yes, Beamforming disabled will fix wireless disconnects on Samsung and Apple devices.

Thank you, for some reasons the router worked the last 2 days without any issues, so I think it was a problem with the isp's signal. If the problem persists, I will check for beam forming and maybe do a full reset. But why should I not use the same ssid on both bands? I read in the internet that this should be fine, and I observed that the devices near the router did automatically connect to the 5ghz band.

My experience tells me that you should not give different bands the same SSID unless you have two dual band routers and set each one with one particular channel for each band with the same name.
