So far, I can't find a way to do it. Not using the firmware's web interface, and (so far) not using the router's cli.
What is suggested above should be working properly. Whatever you want to have port forwarding control on should be going through WAN and using your real IP address. As you noticed, if you exclude this computer from VPN, your port forwarding works. Now you have to exclude specific traffic only. DDNS service is not the problem here.
