Hi, i'm not sure this is the right section.

I have openvpn client turned on at the router level. (asus ac68u running merlin 378.53)

my wan ip is static. I no longer can rdp into my home pc.

(ie; previously i had a portforwarded rule for wan ip -> lan ip on 3389)

i take it that the wan ip no longer receives incoming connections or portforwarding is busted when openvpn client is on?

are there workarounds?

yes. you could rdp through your VPN server IP if they provide port forwarding.

some iptables are required to dnat from the tun device to your LAN listening machine.
