I never use 2.4GHz, but I was intrigued so I ran some tests on the 1900P with the new driver (v27). The client is at a most extreme end of the house, iperf 3.1.3
2.4GHz, 200 mW
Code:[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Jitter Lost/Total Datagrams [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.25 MBytes 1.05 Mbits/sec 3.481 ms 4/158 (2.5%)
2.4GHz, 100 mW
Code:[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Jitter Lost/Total Datagrams [ 4] 0.00-10.01 sec 1.25 MBytes 1.05 Mbits/sec 51.814 ms 7/157 (4.5%)
5GHz, 200mW
Code:[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Jitter Lost/Total Datagrams [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.25 MBytes 1.05 Mbits/sec 0.642 ms 0/159 (0%)
If I get a chance, I'll try it on the older equipment.
Did you run those tests with WMM APSD enabled or disabled? Also, run your tests with -b 100M or some equally high value if you aren't already. Seems like you might be REALLY far from the router if not. I have been running iperf3 -c <host ip> -u -b 200M (someone correct me if I am using iperf wrong, this is not something I have much experience with).
