New Around Here
I have a new Netgear R7000 set up as my main base router. It is working fine for hard wired as well as 2.4 and 5Ghz channels. I also have a new Netgear R6300v2 router that I bridged to the R7000 using the 5Ghz channel. It will only connect to the R7000 when both routers are in the same room. If I move to the next room the router is about 8 feet away will one wall in between. No connection. Reboot both routers-nothing. If I move the R6300v2 back into the same room as the R7000 it will connect. Firmware is latest on both routers. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have been able to get R7000 working for all my devices about 15 with no problems.

Try this. Use the R7000 as the bridge they try it. See if you can get added range. The R6300 fixed antennas may be the cause of your issue. I know the R7000 has better transmit and receive performance over the R6300. That plus interference, wall composition etc may be having an effect. I havnt tried them in bridge mode so I can't comment but it is obvious you have an rf range or interference issue.

Also turn off any security too to see if that helps. You are going to have to try several things here to sort it out.

Thanks Bob. I will turn off security first to see if that makes a difference. And if that doesn't work I will try switching the router bridge to the other. I may try another router with antennaes as the bridge.

R6300 bridged to R7000 using 2.4 Ghz channel

Thanks for your help Bob. I wanted to keep the R7000 as my main router so I kept the R6300v2 as the bridge but I bridged using the 2.4 GHz channel. Worked fine. Must just be to much interference with 5Ghz. I did move the router up higher and turned security off but no difference with 5Ghz.

Well more likely you have a range issue if the 2.4ghz works. At this time there isn't much nnise in the 5ghz band. Try using a wifi program like inSSIDer. This can show you signal strength and noise. If you have a Android platform there is Wifi Analyzer that will do the same. Then you may be able to determine whats going on.
