New Around Here
Hi All,

I've been doing research for the best part of the day to come up with some ideas for a NAS solution for the small company I work for.

This site has been extremely helpful and firstly must say a big thank you to the moderators and contributors for the collective information found here.

I have read the guidance but I could not find the QNAP TS-410 on the official reviews and wondered if anyone had any previous experience with it and the pro's/con's they have face with it. I have decided to go for Qnap based on the information I have seen all over and believe this to be a brand to go with. Unfortunately I have to go to one of our normal suppliers, which means im limited to choice, and limited somewhat with funds (£500ish ex.vat max spend).

I would like to run raid 1 as we are not a huge company and wanted this to take some weight off the server which at the moment is running everything under the sun - but would also like the flexibility to be able to backup the NAS either to another unit or elsewhere on the lan/wan. It would basically just act as a file server.

If anyone has any other model recommendations please feel free to leave a word or two :) I'm not buying this till the end of the week and just wanted some experienced feedback for my peace of mind :)

Thanks in advance for any replies.
