Hi.

Right now I have a ASUS RT-N66U with stock frimware.

I was wondering if flashing Merlin will allow me to apply specific DNS Servers to specific devices on my network.

What I want to do right now is use Google DNS for all the devices on my network and OpenDNS on all of my kids devices.

I know I can just go on their computer and change it there, but I want to do this from the router level incase they change it back on their PC.

OpenDNS let's me block things not suitable for their age.

Yes, and even beyond that. The DNSFilter functionality effectively redirects DNS queries at the firewall level for specific devices, so that way you can't even work around the router setting just by editing your local DNS servers.

I flashed Merlin onto my router this morning and it has been working great.

I even have better signal in my rooms now as well.

This frimware is amazing.

Thanks.
