I did not get manuals with the new ASUS RT-A66U B1.

I would like to know how to setup and use the features. I am not sure if this was a returned item or not but the factory admin admin do not work as setup. Do I have to to a HARD RESET in order to get the login password is is there a easier way.

Thank you for your help and direction!

Hold the reset button until the power LED flashes slowly. Then login to the webUI, install the desired firmware (45717), reset again!, and then configure it.

My install notes suggest a baseline configuration... just ignore the AiMesh bits.

He bought a used router, first thing what one should do is hard reset!
And there is only one reset button to press and clean start.
No reset cant be easier as you dont know what has been configured before.

Actually since I get the !@##$^ comments I will say that I am disabled, sorry I am not able to get to the router without assistance and have someone else do it. i was trying to find a way that I could do it via keyboard or online.
It was a new router so I was told from BEST BUY anyway , Online purchase though.

Thanks for the assistance.

Here is the User Guide:

Physical access to the router is needed, unfortunately. Ask someone to hold the reset button at the back for about 10 seconds. It's a recessed button, so a toothpick or a sharp pen/pencil is needed. Wait about 2 minutes for the router to reboot, then login with admin/admin and go by the user guide step-by-step. Let us know if something is not very clear for you, we'll help.

Never needed something else than my fingers to press the reset button.

And even disabled you have to position the router and connect to DSL and power line, the same person who is doing those things for you can once press this button after power on.

Really? Really?? You want to debate disability? Really!?

Your advice is to get help!? Really!?

Just ignore !@##$^ people above, see what you can do with the router, let me know in case of issues. I'll make time to help you.

Thanks for the reply, I will be unable to work on this for a few weeks but will get back a soon as I can
