Quick question about AP mode

So, in the stock Asus firmware for the RT-AC87U, when AP mode is turned on the router loses all IPv6 functionality. Is that also the case with Asuswrt-Merlin?

Specifically I'd like to know whether wireless clients can receive IPv6 configuration either from a DHCPv6 server or the router that's connected to the Asus's LAN interface. With the stock FW clients on the LAN interface can but wireless clients can't.

In AP mode the clients would get ipv6 info from your router/DHCP server.

They do not, because the RT-AC87U doesn't load an IPv6 stack on the wireless interface therefore v6 packets aren't coming through. LAN clients get it but wireless clients don't.
