My devices can’t update NTP via wired connection. Wireless work fine.
I have two Raspberry PI with Domoticz home automation software connected to my R6300V2 that is is AP-mode. R6300v2 is connected to my main router via wire (Asus RT-AC87u). Both RPI are updated to the latest firmware and bootloader.
The Raspberry that are connected directly via wire can’t update time with NTP. The second Raspberry Pi that are connected wirelessly to R6300v2 via “gl-inet” with Gargoyle-firmware (openwrt) has no problems updating NTP.
Wired connection fails – wireless via gl-inet works.
R6300v2 V1.0.4.2_10.0.7 with latset avalible firmware 4 - updated hoping to fix the problem.
And then:
Opened the thing up and attached a serial adapter and flashed the latest firmware with tftp. I saved the output from putty if anyone is interested.
When setting up as AP with the menus in the web interface the problems persists. When connect the wan port to my network and let my raspberry use the new ip given by R6300v2 NTP works fine. My conclusion is that it’s when its setup as AP it malfunctions.
Anyone have a clue?
What do i do. Should i try dd-wrt Kong mod or Tomato.
I wrote about this on netgear forums but never solved it:
