R7000 DD-WRT AC 5GHZ Tx Rate?

I just installed DD-WRT on my R7000 to see if it would be an improvement over the stock firmware. Everything is up and running however while connected to the 5GHZ band with my retina MBP that supports AC 1300, I only get a TX rate of 600 mbps when I used to get full 1300 mbps on the stock. Any ideas on why this could be?

Do you have the channel width set to 80MHz. (setting is VHT80)? What connection speed does it show under the wireless status?
