No, you won't be able to use any new model router for 10 years. In 3-4 years it will be on End-Of-Life list with no firmware support. What you are looking at has no DD-WRT, OpenWrt or FreshTomato options. Asuswrt only and based on it Asuswrt-Merlin. No more Asus GPL - unsupported soon after.
Yeah, I understand for EOL but currently my WRT is running a firmware from 2018 and it was still working correctly but I guess it's not really secure anymore.

Something fresher will be definitely better, but look at home routers as disposable devices. Get what you need and don't overpay for futureproofing because this future may never come to you. More likely EoL will come first. Many consumer devices are now killed for marketing reasons.

I would suggest going with something newer - the Asus devices you mentioned are decent -- I would also consider the Synology RT6600ax as an alternative.

And if you're in the market for something new that isn't Asus...

This one has pretty decent reviews and comments... and the price is right...

Is there any issues with Asus routers? Are they too expensive?

I was looking for RT-AX86U Pro, it's 259 CAD right now. The GL.iNet is only 7$ cheaper.

Get the RT-AX86U Pro. Not just because it's Asus - it has better hardware inside.
