New Around Here
I'm in a similar situation to AaronD - new small business looking for 2-disk RAID1 backed up to USB/NAS.

3 questions regarding the ReadyNAS Duo:

1. I use Macs exclusively - can I configure for RAID1 with a Mac? Will the EXT3 stuff cause me any problems?

2. Can the ReadyNAS accept disks larger than 1TB?

3. Are the backup issues you mention in the review resolved?

1. I use Macs exclusively - can I configure for RAID1 with a Mac? Will the EXT3 stuff cause me any problems?
All configuration is done via web browser. RAID mode is independent of client OS. EXT3 is the internal drive format. It is only of concern if you wanted to try to recover data from a drive by mounting it in another system.

2. Can the ReadyNAS accept disks larger than 1TB?
See the drive compatibility list.

3. Are the backup issues you mention in the review resolved?
I believe so.
