I have ordered a Synology DS-207+. After looking at the recommended drives on Synology's website, I see that they are all previous generation drives. I plan to run the NAS in RAID1 mode. Suggestions on drives? And is the added expense of Enterprise level drives worth it?

Not sure if you are still looking, but I am using two WD6400AAKS drives in my DS207+. I have had them for months with no problems. There is also a 750 GB version of the drive. I have thought about changing the drives out for two 1 TB drives, but I am not quite ready for that and not sure which 1 TB drives I would use.

personally I'd recommend one of the 24/7 enterprise drives. They are designed for continuous duty cycle. Tim may disagree since some consumer model drives work nearly as well. Your mileage may vary....
