Also experiencing this issue, but don't have any USB devices connected. All devices on my network (wifi and ethernet) will disconnect for about 30 seconds then reconnect. This will happen multiple times a day. Had to swap back to my Telstra Smart Modem because I work from home and the disconnections were interrupting my work.

recently bought mine used but count me in:

Sep 7 12:07:26 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link DOWN.
Sep 7 12:07:29 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link Up at 10 mbps full duplex
Sep 7 12:07:31 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link DOWN.
Sep 7 12:07:33 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link Up at 1000 mbps full duplex
Sep 7 12:07:35 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link DOWN.
Sep 7 12:07:37 kernel: eth1 (Int switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 0) (phyId: 1) Link Up at 1000 mbps full duplex

i'm assuming ". . . port: 0" is the ax6000's physical ethernet port 1. not sure if i was seeing this with my ax-86u.

. . . it's always something.

Quick update, that might be useful to anyone else having the same issue. I can with 100% certainty confirm that the problem was caused by the motherboard's integrated NIC. It's extremely weird, because there were zero issues with the exact same hardware, when my router was the AC66U-B1 instead of the Rapture. The issue persisted, whatever my internet activity was, just the occurrence was the sole variable, however heavy traffic always resulted in port crash.

One day, I decided to buy a super cheap PCI-E 1Gbps network card just to give it try and to this day, I have yet to experience a single port crash, all the while I've heavily stress tested the connection, for 3 months now.

In summary, something in the motherboard's NIC caused the port crashing on this router specifically, while the NIC itself functions perfectly well. No idea what the cause was to this day.

interesting but i don't recall having these messages on the ax86u which now a meshed node. wouldn't the consummate test be to see if these messages happen with other routers?

Resolving this issue was extremely frustrating and annoying to say the least, so I will be leaving it as it is, as everything finally works perfectly now. 😁

well, easy for you to say. all of a sudden, i'm going bald with this problem. i'm seeing it more often and where very telling is on wired upload speeds. even wireless "n" is faster!! where i used to see 40 mb consistently, i barely get to 7 now. donwload does not seem to be as affected. as you know, resets change nothing. i'm going to try to run diags on the ethernet adpater and reset that as well. if i find a change, i'll report it but this sucks!

I think you are having a different issue, form what I had. When my router crashed, both PCs had zero network access, and the network cable unplugged icon showed in Windows taskbar. Zero traffic, only Wi-Fi continued working fine.
If your wired connection is still working, but degraded, in my opinion you're having a very different problem from mine.

indeed.

fwiw, it seems like my upload speed problem goes away after i disable the nordVPN app then reboot the pc. i still see the log entries but less so and my upload speeds are back.

after a deeper dive, i've learned that MSi has known problems with its embedded intel adapter. i recall ethernet problems on my old z590 board that are similar to what i'm seeing on my z790. it consistently fails cable and some hw tests. they are horrific when it comes to support. their boards also have some power management problems. it seems like their only focus is gaming. that said, asustek and gigabyte were worse which is why i'm back with MSi. let's just say they have the least problems with some of their boards.
