Router conneted to main router via VPN

We have a small office-1, and would like to connect office-2 to office-1's router via the internet so that both networks acts as one making it easy to share network facilities etc. I assume this is possible using two ASUS router, but I'm a little lost as how to do this in real life. Any particular Asus models to prefer for this job?

We do not need to use the internet connection at office-2 separately, so just the VPN to office-1 would be great.

I would not trust a consumer router for this sort of thing. Look into the Pepwave Surf SOHO. Its a professional grade router for roughly $180 with WiFi. It does site to site VPNs. For more see
