Hi all. New forum member here. This forum comes up again and again on Google when I ask advanced network questions, so maybe it's a good place to ask the hard questions.
I have a 4G device that provides internet via a socks proxy on a specified port. I want to tell a router to use the socks proxy on the 4G device for internet traffic. The 4G device will have a DHCP reservation on the LAN provided by the router.
What is it called when a router manages internet traffic in this way? It seems like a non-standard feature. Does a general purpose router firmware like Tomato or DD-WRT provide this functionality? If not, is there a user-friendly off-the-shelf solution? Cheers.
