I have been looking around for routers with ample ports and that support LAG/LACP
In the SOHO/SMB space, I haven't found many

My first want was the RV325
I cant believe that the Cisco RV325 has all those ports and no LAG/LACP
Cisco RV325 Dual Gigabit WAN VPN Router

But the Cisco RV130 with only 4 ports has Link Aggredation, go figure...
It just doesn't have enough ports
Cisco RV130 VPN Router

They don't list it on the specs page for the rv130 or the rv130w
but it is shown in the emulator, in the Networking section, under LAN,
RV130W Wireless-N VPN Firewall Emulator

Anyone know of any reliable, full featured, router with ample ports and LACP?

It is extremely rare for a SOHO router to have Link Aggregation support. Many of the pro routers do, but almost all routers don't have hardware acceleration for switching built in. This is one reason why most people do not do link aggregation with a router. Most everyone uses a switch for link aggregation. If you have to have routing capabilities and Link Aggregation you could try a Layer3 switch, depending on what your business need is.

Hi phiberton, you might want to check out the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite (or Pro). Per this article, it may work (provided LACP over layer 3 is good enough). MikroTik's RouterOS also offers LACP, so any of their routerboard or cloud core router models should be fair game as well. MT's smaller GigE boxes start at around $75 USD and the ERL starts at a bit less than $100.

No problem. Perhaps in a few weeks it'd be great to get a recap on how your choice(s) worked out.

Will do, not sure on the timeframe just, still just digesting my objectives,
and separating them for what I need and for what I want
as we all want everything =)

Most router L'ACP is software base and won't necessarily give you higher throughput unless it's slow links. So do you want LACP for redundancy or throughput?

Those Ubiquiti EdgeRouter's look pretty sweet
on all counts of features, performance, size, power and price

Since this is really for a lab and for road shows etc.
The need/want for aggregation is/was more for POC type scenarios,
to put methods of implementation or usage scenarios to the test,
or for demonstration and for devising alternate solutions, etc.

Thanks again for the added info and suggestions, much appreciated

It's better to get a smart switch than finding a router that does 802.3ad LAG/LACP.

I run LACP on my Netgear GS108T "Smart" switch for both my Synology NAS & the Mac.

Thanks for the reality check

I do prescribe to the methodology of using/doing things
that are best suited for that task

But for lab or poc types scenarios, I bend that idea a little bit =)
My original goal was to downsize a lab setup, with an All in One device
But you guys have reminded me to stick to what works

I currently have an Cisco SG300-10, just wish it had more IPv6 features

If you've an asus ac68u you can install vía optware support for link aggregation, Google it

I ended up getting an RV130, the reason was based on cost

The ERLite-3 was in the same price range as the RV130
but had no built in switch

To get a built in switch I would have had to go with an ERLite-3
but it only has 3 switch ports not 4

Though I am still looking at the EdgeRouter,
as it has a lot of features I like
