RSYNC to QNAP from ReayNAS

OK... here is an odd one.
I am trying to create RSYNC jobs from my ReadyNAS pro6 to the QNAP-TS653.
I have created the exact same jobs from the ReadyNAS to a Synology DS115j

UID, PWD, Source and Destination Path, compression... everything the same other than the destination target IP. Same switches and router and all connections are Cat6.

Two of the three jobs keep failing with the QNAP as the target but complete with the Synology as the target.

Logs are not giving a reason... Any thoughts?

Yes. RSYNC is enabled.
It's syncing and getting about %90 of the way through the RSYNC job and then failing.

Odd. How do the versions of Rsync compare between the three devices? The version of Rsync would be shown in the GPL code or if you are comfortable with SSH (and the support implications of that) you could check the version using that. The Rsync version might also show in the logs.

Have you checked the drive health for the disks in the backup destination?

Do you have any additional info about the DDNS service restoration? I can't find anything so far on the web regarding this.

Some NAS vendors operate their own free dynamic DNS service, with a reporting agent running on the NAS. But only for a domain name in their domain.
Synology does, and likely QNAP and others.
DynDNS is no longer free.

It could also be due to possible corruption/permission issues on the source. You might try doing a health check on the source system, or reapply permissions recursively if you can determine what "folder" the rsync is failing.

My synology works only with their own DNS.
I like many used dynDNS for years but I quit them as the price went from 0 on upward over time. And they are snotty.

Really, only I care what my IP address is, and so byebye to paid DNS. I'm xxxxx.synology.me, free.

I have also used no-ip for dynamic dns with Synology (DSM 5.x) in the past as well.
