RT-68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.20287

@arthurlien Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but in version 3.0.0.4.384.20287, the Media Bridge function is broken. Once you join a wireless network, the process completes, and the router reboots, but when you re-access through the gui, the router takes you through the setup wizard again, like the configuration never got applied, though I can ping it, and passes traffic normally.

I had test and my results is normal. According you can't access WebGUI, I think you can't send the cfg file to me. Could you try to reset default by Reset or WPS button?

Edit: Ok i give up . Nothing to do with all 384.XXXX releases on my side.Simple mediabridge mode is broken.Factory reset, clear nvram,static ip,... nothing work. Everytime i am rolling back to 382.XXXX it work perfect.
Main router AC-1900P( 380.69_2) work like charm since the first day of .69
Bridge RT_AC68U ( 382.18881)
I dont need mesh for my config,i am perfectly happy with Rmerlin fw on my main router. All i need its just a working bridge for my Ps4 , TVbox and Smart TV.
All these new versions under 384.XXXX is a no go for me, til asus fix the mediabridge issue.
Sticking on 382 or 380.69 for now on my bridge

Sick of Updating the routers, 88u can't find the 66u-b1, won't reset either of ther routers, was thinking no need aimesh, for the rest of previous bugs ipsec server (yes i remove the forwared ports in the section arthurlien), iptv lags, and broken vids, memory leak will see (tested) in the future.

What exactly is broken? Is this just some area of the web GUI? I've been running without a problem using media bridge on 20287 and now 20308. What's not working for you? My setup is normal except it has the 2.4GHz radio turned off and I'm only using the 5GHz radio to connect to my main router. I turned the 2.4GHz radio off a couple of years ago: There was just way too much interference on 2.4GHz at my house and the constant jockeying with it was overloading the aging cpu on the 68u from time to time. Since I did that, it's been trouble-free, just upgrade the firmware every now and then just to stay up on it.

The auto-upgrade in the GUI is busted on 20287, and you'll see the fake progress bar go through its thing if you click there, and they errantly put the zip file's extension in all caps for 20308 for the 68u, which caused the update to download but not apply via the gui, so you'll have to do that one manually until Asus figures out their mistake, but I've had no trouble with either other than this stuff.

Only need to reset the node then search for the node on main router.

384.10007, 384_20287,384.20308.... no luck since 384 branch, and i have this issue also on 384.3 (merlin) base on GPL 10007.
As I already said, everything returns normal if I go back on a firmware 382.XXXX and lower.So there is something in the AIMESH that completely break the simple MediaBridge mode.
2 firmwares later and it's still not solved.
Tested on my AC1900p and Rt-Ac68

Well, I dont know what to say . I reflashed my AC68 with 384.20308 (to send you the cfg file), did another factory reset, went back to Bridge mode and now everything seems to work. I'll keep an eye on that and give you news if the problem return. Laptop Windows 10, Xbox and Mygica Tvbox wired on the bridge have internet access now.
I start thinking that the problem is on my side, since nobody else seems to have this trouble.

Sadly , after 2 days issue in Bridge mode is back ,lost internet access(yellow triangle) on all the devices hooked on it,and cant acces the GUI, need reboot to fix it for a while.
Before rolling back to lower fw , i saved the cfg file from 20308.How i can send you that file?.

Now im back on 382.XXXX , because i really need a fully functional bridge. My wife and children are showing me the rope in the basement .
Sorry but I will not reflash my Bridge with a firwmare 384 for more tests.I think have done all the tests to solve this problem by myself. Nada
I'll wait for the day I'll see "MediaBridge mode issues solved" in a new release.I never had any problem until 384.XXXX serie.

It allow me to login with the bridge IP , only when then bridge is functional.
When the bridge lost internet acces and other devices hooked on it, i cant, must reboot to fix it

Are you able to shriink the size of the DHCP pool on your main router so you can give your bridge a static IP address on your network? (e.g. like 192.168.1.254) That is the one important thing I did a long time ago that I forgot to mention in my post. It just makes it a little bit easier to log into your bridge if something goes wrong.
