RT-AC1900P, when will it happen?

I was wondering today when Tim Higgins will be able to get his hands on 1 of these new Asus RT-AC1900P routers from Best Buy for a review ?
I called Best Buy today and was told that they have had calls all day wanting to know more about the router! However as you guys know, they had an exclusive with the last one (RT-AC68P) also and must have did very well with sales are they wouldn't have turned right around and started another deal for this new version of the "P" with a 1.4 GHz CPU versus the 1GHz in the first version they had.
I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon or New Egg did the same thing, sorta! If they figure Best Buy got a sales idea right, I'm darn sure they will have a few meetings over the same idea, sorta! Which ever way it works out will benefit the consumer and that is a good thing, sorta!

At about 11:00 pm I went to Best Buy web site and searched for the Asus RT1900P and it didn't show up, so I don't know what's going on.

Search for RT-AC1900P. Our local BB has 4 of these in stock, and I will get one today.

Bought the RT-AC1900P from BBuy for $200 and it is installed and running. Upgraded FW to Version: 3.0.0.4.380.3264. V1 hardware.

If/when will the RMerlin FW be available?

If anyone wants me to do some testing, let me know, but be specific since I don't know too much about Asus routers yet and dont have test equipment.

You didn't understand me. Last night it wasn't there, Now it is, but what you need to know is they have 2 different models. Check this out, notice the manufactures number and SKU #'s:

Let everyone know how setup go's if you get a chance. Good luck.

Congrats! A combination of 68 series stability/reliability and 88U processor speed at a price closer to the 68 series. It looks like a winner. You're making us jealous already. :D

Hi SoCalReviews. I'm glad you noted the processor. I noticed today (see link above) that the RT-AC1900P and the RT-AC68P both had 1.4 MHz CPU like the RT-88U. Do you know if they are the same processor, I believe they are.
If that is the case, I've been wondering just what the differences between the the 3 routers really is? They might all 3 be about the same relative to hardware. Sure wish Tim Higgins had the RT-AC1900P, he's the guy that could straighten things out for us.
I hope dieter will give us a review after a few days with his RT-AC1900P, he's the first person I know of that has one.

I'm quite sure that they are not the same processor. The Asus link for the RT-AC1900P says it has a 1.4Ghz processor. Unless they recently changed the specs for the RT-AC68U/R/P etc... then those do not have a 1.4Ghz processor. The 68P has a 1Ghz, the other 68 models have either an 800Mhz or 1Ghz depending on the version which you can read on the side of the box. B1 version of any the 68 models has a 1Ghz processor. The A versions don't... (they are 800Mhz). I'm not sure about the C1 versions. Also, I wouldn't place too much value on the BB site comparison chart specs. It noticed it had incomplete and incorrect specs listed.

The RT-AC88U has 1.4Ghz processor, 4 x 4 MU-MIMO technology and 512MB DRAM. (The 68 series all have 256MB DRAM and 3 x 3 MIMO technology). There are some other differences but those are the major ones. I don't know enough about the RT-AC88U because I don't own one. You can read more about the RT-AC88U in other threads here. You can ask more specific questions from owners who have the 88U if you need more information.
