RT-AC3100 Base and RT-AC68U Node f/w Update?

I have an RT-AC3100 Base Unit with three RT-AC68U Nodes. F/W update is out for the RT-AC68U but not the RT-AC3100.

Currently my Base Unit is on 3.0.0.4.384_20379 and the nodes are on 3.0.0.4.384_20648.

Apparently 3.0.0.4.384.20942 is available for the RT-AC68U and no update is currently available for the RT-AC3100.

The nodes are already on a more recent f/w. Should I update them or wait? It seems the RT-AC3100 is being left behind on the f/w updates maybe?

i update my node to latest fw, main router is still on 648...

It's not being left behind. There must be some reason Asus has not released the new code for the 3100 and the 88 as of yet. I do expect it very soon like any day.

It didn't get the 648 f/w. This is why it seemed it was being left behind.

My experience with a GT-AC5300 as router and a RT-AC68U as node: if/when I do the notification for an upgrade to node, I don't execute it.
It works well if I can upgrade at the same time both router and node.
2 times now the experience was: get notification for node, try to upgrade node and I end up with router trying to upgrade the node every single time I click Administration-Firmware. To solve it I have to reload the router.
So I choose to execute the upgrade only when I have the upgrade option for router too.
