So I was checking this DSL Reports site out and they have a speedtest, decided to take one and it all seemed good. The question I have what is Bufferbloat and how can I fix it, or do I need to contact my isp, I am running FW 3.0.0.4.380_858

Thanks.

You need to enable QOS and set the upload and download to be a little less than what it's suppose to be. So for example, I pay for 50/50 and I set QOS to be 48/48 and I now get an A for Bufferbloat.

I see, so what % should I lower it by???

Thanks for the reply.

Well I think recommend amount is like minus 10% of your paid for speed's. However if you're like a lot of people now, you have rather fast speed's. So I would think minus 5% would be enough, however you can always play with the numbers a bit yourself.

I have QOS enabled its on automatic.

Will try this, thanks.

Automatic is a bit screwy. At least it was when I had it on for 10 minutes. Best to set your own. At 100% of my paid for and tested bandwidths for QoS, my grades are A-A-A.

On my 56U I have QOS set to my speed tier 60/6 and I get an A for bufferbloat.
