New Around Here
I just purchased a AC3100 from Amazon. I wanted to upgrade from a AC66U (still a pretty good router) for the stability, since some of the streaming I've been doing was really pushing the CPU.

Install went fine, and after initial setup I restored the settings saved from the AC66U. Then I installed the newest firmware update.

Router is working nicely so far and does seem more stable than the old one. However, I'm not seeing the settings for Adaptive QOS, Smart Connect, and WTFast when I log on to the router. My understanding is that all these features are available as of the latest firmware, but I'm not seeing them at all. I can see the Game Boost option on the phone app, but nothing else.

Could this be from restoring my previous settings from the old router? Do I need to do a hard reset and set everything up from scratch?

If you saved a backup config setting file on the RT-AC66U and you restored that to the RT-AC3100, yes, you need to do a full reset to factory defaults and then minimally and manually configure the new router to secure it and connect to your ISP.

Those backup files between different versions of hardware (let alone different versions of the firmware for the same model) are not meant to be used like that. New hardware, new (manual) configuration. :)

I would also recommend you use new ssid's too (you can use the same password, if you like) to make sure that the client side is using all new microcode too with the new router for the best experience.

Thanks for the info. Everything is working properly now, and I see everything except the smart connect option. Its not showing up where I'm told it should appear.

I don't think the RT-AC3100 has smart connect?

Just updated to the firmware released this morning, and although the notes don't indicate anything about smart connect, it's definitely there.
