[RT-AC3200] A question for AC3200 owner before i make the purchase for this router.

I saw there are quite some comments in Amazon saying that the Smart Connect isn't working properly for AC3200. But the firmware they used were the older versions. I saw the latest firmware now is 3.0.0.4.378.9135.

Can any AC3200 owners provide a update that if the latest firmware has resolved the instability of Smart Connect function in this router? Thanks!

It seems to have gotten better but there still are some issues with the default settings, though they may work fine for you. The default settings with 3.0.0.4.378.9135 work fine for every device on my network except my Amazon Echo, which will not connect at all. I used the settings here and now it connects fine: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/as...ct-rules-fine-tuning.22823/page-3#post-180632. However, none of my devices will go to the 5GHz-1 band.

My AC3200 is on delivery and should arrive this weekend. i am gonna implement it and see how it goes with the smart connect function. I will let you know how the smart connect works in my apartment.
