RT-AC5300+AC68U AiMesh, no data trough node

Hi

Wanted to set-up AIMesh in my house. Installed latest firmware on both routers (RT-AC5300+AC68U).

The 5300 as main AImesh router, the AC68U as the node. The set-up was OK, the 5300 found the AiMEsh node AC68U and it seemed OK. They are now 10m away from each other. The interface showing the Aimesh members.

Trough the App I see which device is connected to the main router and to the node. I test with a laptop and when the laptop is connected to the node I cannot get any Internet connection. I get a IP address but that’s all.

When I turn of the node the laptop connects to the main router and everything is OK.

SSID and passwords seems to be OK (do not have to change anything manually).


I tried to use wireless between the router and the node, tried also wired (WAN port on the node). No difference.


This is my first Aimesh set-up, so I might have done something wrong.


Any idea what might be wrong, or things I can check to find the problem?

Had the same setup. Later added some extra nodes but nothing worked. I did also have Guest Network added and this cause some client wasn't able to connect to WIFI.
Ended up by add all my nodes as AP
Now stuff is working as wanted.

I'm not sure what to try next, any suggestions?

I was hoping that AIMesh would be a good solution, might need to remove it and install a proper mesh system. Based in what I read on forums it seems like a lot of people are having issues with Aimesh.
