I have a 3G dongle as a backup for the WAN Internet connection. Failover works fine but the problem is that the WAN connection isn't restored when it's up again and avialbale. The IP is still the same as it was after the 3G failover as was the lower speeds of the 3G connection (about 1 Mbit/s)
The test was done by removing the phone plug from the ADSL modem.
I'm running the latest firmware. I waited for 10 minutes and then rebooted the router from the GUI and the WAN connection was restored.

Thanks for the reply. This function is not entirely useless as the failover works but Asus should really check if the preferred connection is avalialble again and restore it.
The workaround is to connect to the router either locally or from remote and reboot it, or just press the power button...
