Is their a way to limit or CAP bandwidth usage for specific MAC Addresses or device? or even across the entire wireless network. My nanny is sucking up internet all day streaming stuff to her nook and I am trying to find a way to limit her usage. I just got a bill for over usage and finally figure out she was the culprit.

Thanks

Nope, you have three options

1) Limit internet access to her Nook with Parental Controls
2) Change your WPA key and lock her out
3) Have a talk with your Nanny

What would I be limiting with the Parental Controls? I am not familiar with that part of the setup.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my request.

Parental controls are limited, you can only define set intervals during the day that the Nook would be allowed internet access. I have the same problem with my daughter streaming Netflix on her Roku. Through Parental Controls I limited the Roku to 1 hour of internet in the evening and it solved the problem although I deal with "What's wrong with the Roku?" every night now.

Yup your are right. I was planning on talking to her but I wanted to be able to limit it on the router also as a backup. It's as bad as managing people at work I feel I have to watch my back. Thank god for the Traffic Tracker that worked great. I could look at the last 24 hours and see exactly what was going on. Thanks again everyone for your input. I appreciate it.

Another option is to use QoS to limit her tablet bandwidth to something good enough for websurfing but not for streaming or downloads. 512 Kbps for example.
