As I moved to the new firmware and switched to Repeater mode on my media bridge is seems more stable.

But my wife complains about connection issue after the repeater has run a couple of days. This happens to my wifes laptop (with a NETGEAR WNDA3100v2) , her ipad or one of the kids ipad's. The solution is to reboot or telnet and run restart_ wireless on the repeater. This was on a daily bases, actually several times a day in media bridge mode. I hoped we were past this in repeater mode, but I can only hope this will be fixed in later versions of the firmware.

Anybody else having the same experience.

My configuration.

1 AC66U in AP mode and 1 AC66U in repeater mode + 1 netgear WNDR4000 (with Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mega) in client bridge mode.

I replaced my Netgear repeater with my AC66U (running latest Merlin) in Repeater mode yesterday, after getting my AC68U up and running as my primary router.

So far, no stability issues, but only use of a single day so far. Will definitely monitor.

Today I had to reboot my repeater the hard way. DNS worked fast, but it took so forecer to fetch the content of websites. When I tried to log into the repeater it wouldn't accept the password. Kind of scary. So had to walk up to the repeater and stop and start it again using the button. Afterwards the net worked fast again, and when I opened the browser on my iPad again I was logged on. So it actually had logged me in, but reported unsuccessful wrongly.
