RT-AC66U - Steam - Game Download Issues

I am hoping someone could help me with a possible solution for the issue I have. I am unable to complete a download of a game from Steam. I get to 96 to 98% (varies on the game) and I am unable to complete the remaining (i.e. jumps to 7 or more days for download time for the remainder).

Example Game: Crysis Wars
Hardware: RT-AC66U
Firmware: 3.0.0.4.376_1123 (yes I have tried the Merlin Firmware as well)
Original Issue I had was posted here: Network error - where I was unable to download large files from certain sites (i.e. Home Pages for Ubuntu ISO or Mint Linux ISO). I recently resolved this issue from a post on our forums here.

What have I tried:
- If I connect my computer directly to the Cable Modem then I am able to complete the download of the Game(s) with no issues.
- Tried different firmwares (Merlin and Asus)
- Rebooted the Router
- Tired another router I had lying around - Worked Perfectly fine to complete the download with no issues.


Any suggestions? Any other settings like the Normal Mode for DHCP I should look at?

Hello,

Did the old router use the same channel? My first guess would be to look at the channels and see how congested they might be and change if necessary.

Channels don't appear to be congested.

Hello,

I really dislike saying this but one option would be to factory reset. But you had other issues that you solved so remember those changes if you chose to go this route.

Thank you for your help, and this was all it required. I did the factory reset and I was able to not download Steam Games, ISO files I previously had issues downloading.
