RT-AC68 VPN able to make anonymous?

Hello-

I have an Asus RT-68AC Router and am curious about the VPN functions.
I admit I don't know a whole lot and what I've found, isn't exactly about router's VPN for complete anonymity - and I don't have enough of a grasp to figure out how the guides I've found apply to my question and what I'd like to accomplish...

Either stock built-in or other FREE means, is it possible to get this Router's VPN to make all downloads, Torrents, ect anonymous? I know I could use a premium service, but short on funds!

Is this Router's VPN capable of such anonymity? If so, please explain or point to a (noob friendly guide) explaining how and what I'd need:

1- Stock Firmware capable of or do I need to flash a third party firmware that enables additional features....

1a- If so, which Third Party Firmware(s) (compatible w rt-ac68) has such features.... ie: Merlin, Tomato (? Shibby or different build?), wdd-rt?

2 - Do I need anything else, like:

2a: software for VPN (not included or supported natively), like OpenVPN (if so, kindly point to guides about setting it up for specific task of anonymity)

2b: Additional FREE services for, I don't know, DDNS ( or
anything else)
** I don't imagine that the asus provided DDNS- (user/asuscomm.com) is too anonymous as it's traceable to a registered user, right?

3: Once the correct firmware (stock or third party FW) is flashed/working..
What settings, ect do I choose to ensure it's providing complete anonymity?

---> Explain or point to a noob guide for setting up the router's built-in OR third party VPN, with purpose of complete anonymity (untraceable, especially by ISP or anyone)

Thank you guys/gals, again, for sharing your extreme gifts of tech wisdom with someone who'd otherwise be lost without!

In this day and age there is no such thing as complete anonymity on the Internet unless you are willing to connect at public hotspots using throw away devices and even then if someone wants to track you down they probably can.

You can use the router to connect to a VPN service and that VPN provider may offer some form of privacy/anonymity...but...those things do cost a lot, and many have data cap limits.

Ok thanks. I was hoping Asus' Rt-AC68's VPN feature
would protect against ISP piracy detection...

-- Think kids may be downloading stuff and
don't want to get a '6 strike' warning from ISP!

Thanks

Never heard of "6 strike" warning. My ISP never bothers me..and I download what ever I want.

Now, I have heard of folks with Comcast getting warning letters for torrenting Linux distros(which is 100% legal). Some ISP's are very...um..."big brother" like...just waiting to accuse you of something. I have friends that had 1 or 2 warning letters, then their service gets cut off, while a few others I know, get multiple letters every month for the last few years, but nothing more that.
