Hello everyone
I'm not very experienced with modems/routers and came here for some help. I followed the manual but to no avail.
I have a Netcomm modem/router and the ASUS RT-AC68U wireless router. My house has only one phone jack (ie kitchen) I can connect my Netcomm modem into. However, I want to be able to place my ASUS router in my room and connect it to via ethernet cable instead to increase speed/reliability. I spent some time fiddling with the settings of my router and saw the repeater mode and wireless bridge mode. However, I failed to achieve but I was hoping for.
1) Is what I'm trying to do possible? The technician I spoke with said that my ASUS router was a receiver and not a transmitter so it's impossible.
2) If possible, which mode should I be using (repeater or wireless bridge or something else altogether)?
