RT-AC68U Rev. E1 / Merlin 384.5 / USB3 not Working

Hello everybody...
Even tough it seems to be a known issue without a solution,
I report it anyway.

I've a RT-AC68U Rev. E1 with latest Merlin 384.5 installed.

When I try to plug some USB3 device into the USB3 port, it just doesn't get recognized, no way.
Nothing is shown in the log. If I put it inside USB2 port, it works properly.

Workaround: I've to go to into Wireless -> Professional menù, and set "USB3 Interference Reduction" to *ENABLED*.

Is this somewhat "normal" or is my unit defective?

This is normal and expected behavior. Asus has an ongoing problem with usb3 and has for years.

This is normal and expected behavior.

It's not normal or expected. It's to bad they advertise features that don't work and then leave them broke with no fix in site. Just saying that's not normal.

I have RT-AC68U HW E1.

My USB 3 works fine ,after upgrade to 384 branch.

In legacy branch my USB 3 never worked.........all devices was detected like USB2
