Hi,

I have allocated a static IP address to 1 device on our LAN but when I check the devices attached to the router it displays 3 devices with static IP address not 1!

Everything is working fine so am I right in assuming this is just a problem with what is being displayed?

Cheers.

There might be other devices in your network with static IPs.
Please note the difference between "Static" and "Manual"
Static
if a device does not use DHCP.
Manual if a devices uses DHCP and was assigned/reserved a specific IP from DHCP screen on the router.

Thanks for the reply and info.

The information from the router sorted itself out after a reboot.

Cheers.

It's best to NOT set a PC or other WiFi/ethernet device to a static IP as later it may bite you. Esp. if you don't update records.

Best to use the Router's DHCP server's DHCP reservation capability. Centrally managed.

Totally agree.

I have one app that's not playing ball at the mo, so just trying a couple of settings to get it more stable.

Cheers.
