RT-AC86U + Movistar Triple Play

Hello,
I have a RT-AC86U and I'm running ASUS-Merlin 384.7_2.
I have Movistar as TV+Internet+Land Phone provider.

I don't have available the "Movistar Triple Play" IPTV profile that is available in other ASUS devices.
How can I get it back or will it be available soon?

I don't know IPTV code well.
But GT-AC5300 actually seems to have movistar triple vlan configuration.

Edit : I checked. GT-AC5300 has add_rc_support("movistarTriple"); but RT-AC86U not.
That's odd. Asus forgot it?

No idea, someone would have to ask them. Could also be the opposite and it might possibly not work with the GT-AC5300.

I could try to enable it, however I have no way of testing it, and cannot guarantee that it will work either, as it's possible Asus might have kept it disabled due to compatibility issues.

Just like Asus (Spain) said, it will be release soon, they have detected the issue and you will see 1 beta version available in the few months.

I have some betas with issues in WiFi mainly (for 86U), I can share this with you, but Eric needs the source code.

I remember when I looked at adding it to my fork....it was several thousand lines of code, involving a separate PPPoE connection over a VLAN. Definitely not simple (and I never added it). It wouldn't surprise me that they have some platform specific bugs they are working on.

Br, thank you! But to be honest... I prefer to have a stable WiFi than the IPTV profile.
Because, I have now the new 4K TV box and also an old one. And the old one does allow me to set manual IP... And I don't have a 4K TV.

I'd rather wait for Asus to implement it then, in case there might be issues requiring to be fixed, and that it's not just a matter of enabling the capability. It's too late in the 384.8 development cycle now to start experimenting with things that might not work (and which I cannot test myself).

Moreover, for new set-top TV Boxes from Movistar we should send the DNS adding the file /jffs/configs/dnsmasq.conf.add:

Based on Asus releases, we haven't got any stable firmware working with Triple VLAN since Asus launched this router as well as new firmware codebase, so I want to ask u if this ISP profile could be added to the next Merlin release 384.9 (using GPL: 3.0.0.4.384.45149)?
