RT-AC87u Link Agregation beta FW

I want to ask You if there is anyone interested in to add suport for Link Agregation 802.3ad suport for RT-AC87u ???

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw2xQ5benV_uOHNHUW42SmVnSVU/view?usp=sharing

This is beta FW for RT-AC87u with added 802.3ad Link Agregation suport on port 2 and 3 (not 1 and 2 like port teaming).

I need info if this funcionality work ok.
Need factory default after install.

Really no one need this funcionality ?
This fw is from asus global it's old but only for test Link Agregation 802.3ad standard
For me work ok with some NAS and switches.

If You think this is same to port teaming then You are wrong. Teaming Port in 87u suport only Windows 8,1 multichannel samba then can't connect NAS and other, only Windows8.1.
So Link Agregation is only one chance for us to connect our devices.

I'm in no rush to get this working between my router and NAS at the moment, I'll wait for now until it appears again.

Link aggregation is only useful if you have a NAS that supports it, if that NAS is able to do more than saturate a single gigabit link (that means it must be either SSD-based or using RAID0, RAID5 or RAID10), and if more than one client access it at the same time. For home users it's rarely useful.

Also, running quite old firmware is never a good idea.

I have one that can but I like you say I've no intention of running older firmware, I'll wait until it reappears if it ever does because one would think if it had such a short life it was probably problematic.

this FW is only for test Link Agregation, not for regular use. Port 3 is fixed to agregatnion
Link Agregation is not only for NAS, also we can connect switch with LA suport. 87U have only 4 lan port, but when we have much more devices in our network this is a good idea

If the tests go well, Asus probably will add it to official FW

and Asus could not do this in the last year, right ? This feature never be implemented in ac87u because asus do some hardware issues. What is your value as tester, when you receiving closed testing fw and sharing with others ? proof-of-concept should be reported and forgotten. I'm also received this file about Q1/2015 but there is no leak from me :)

for me Link Agregation work OK.
Asus send me information that all test report i very important.

Thank you for not testing. Asus has decided that it will not add this feature to the official FW for 87u . This funcionality have RT-AC88u, and RT-AC5300u.

Once again, thank you and best regards.

They were never really going to, I suspect it is beyond there capability to add 802.3ad easily to the RT-AC87U and as stated I've no intention of hosing other areas of my router to try out such a feature even with the benefits it brings.

Thanks to volunteers we know that 802.3ad workink ok with 87u, ans Asus pledged to add this functionality to RT - AC87u .

If this will ever get available I will be very glad, when I was selecting the RT-AC87U it was one of the points I was like nice to have... And in adverised tech specs it was mentioned it will be supported...
