I had installed 384.5 after a settings reset in May after 384.5's release. Everything was very solid, until about 4 weeks ago. Every few/several days the 5GHz wireless drops. Not the 2.4, the LED is on for 2.4 the 5GHz is off. I lose ALL wireless regardless, AND internet access for hard wired connections.

Unfortunately in haste to restore wireless/LAN network, I pulled the power and recycle the router, so I havent collected any logs to see if there were any clear errors, quite honestly after a power loss is there any logs to collect?

Suggestions?

Try set channel manually between 36-48 and see if that works for the 5Ghz wireless

I have both 2.4 and 5.0 set to "Auto" for Control/Extension Channels.

I had those drops on 5Ghz about 1.5year ago
I have read somewhere about the control channel..can't find it now but test control channel 36-48 and channel 1 6 or 11 for 2.4Ghz
That worked for me on my 87u
I use channel 48 for 5Ghz and channel 1 for 2.4Ghz and the extension channel on auto for both
And disable universal beamforming for both
And you can set group key rotation interval to 2592000 on both
And change to WPA2-personal on 5Ghz

I will try those settings out. Thanks for the advice.
