[RT-AC87U] "Settings have been updated...." issue

Serra

Occasional Visitor
Hello guys.

I have bought a AC87 for about a month. The latest stable version (378.55) of Asuswrt-Merlin firmware was flashed right after the unboxing. A factory default reset has also been done after the update.

The router works fine except it is a bit hot. I have no reboot cron jobs and I just let it keep running.
There is no problem found until the past few days.

One PC is connected to the router by LAN cable and it is the only device that is set to obtain a static IP which is not in the DHCP range.
After turning on the PC, I found a strange thing happened occasionally: Only the LED indicator of the corresponding LAN port is blinking while the router is under stealth mode (all LEDs off).
No Internet connection is available when this happens and when I tried to access the WebUI, the router offline message "Settings have been updated......" was shown.

At this moment this problem has occurred for 2 times in the past few days. No settings have been updated for 2 weeks.

I have done some basic search on the web. But it is not like a browser issue and I don't use VPN feature currently.

If any further information should be provided, please kindly let me know. Thanks in advance.
